You may qualify and be compensated up to $4,100 if you meet the following requirements:

• Females and males aged 18 to 80 years
• Weight 50 kg (110 lbs) – 100 kg (220 lbs)
• BMI (Body Mass Index) between 18.5 and 35 kg/m2
• Non-smokers, no passive smoking
• No tattoos, scars, or skin alterations on the upper arms

Study design: 

• 1 screening visit,
• 1 inpatient stay of 7 days (6 nights)
• 1 phone call around a week after discharge from the clinical site.

About the study drug: The study drug is an investigational microneedle device that delivers dexmedetomidine, a medication already approved in other forms. The study drug is being developed as a possible treatment for acute agitation, a condition where a person becomes extremely restless, anxious, or aggressive.

Study objective: This study will evaluate the safety of the study drug, how your body processes it, and which of the three ascending doses tested is best tolerated.
